is is a shot taken as a start to my work on the Category D listed villages of the North East of England. Which was the practice of the governent that any village categorised in this way meant that they would recieve no funding or financial input and would hopefully return to nature. Out of 144 villages, only ever 3 of them finally met this end, but a lot of them did lose many houses and streets and with them their communities.

This work is to raise awareness of these villages, and although the practice is now no longer around, there is still no regeneration and the villages continue to decline.

These images will be a part of my final degree show exhibition as part of my BA (hons) Photography degree from Nottingham Trent University.
